Board Elections 2021

We invite you to consider joining our fantastic board, sharing your ideas within our Division and the Council for Exceptional Children. Did you know that DVIDB began informally in 1948 and was fully recognized as a Division within the Council for Exceptional Children in 1957?

We have a strong vision and mission for building better educators of students with visual impairments or deafblindness. We support the development and validation of standards for teachers of the visually impaired, teachers of the deafblind, and interveners. We advocate for students with visual impairments and deafblindness within and through the CEC. We offer professional development, leadership development, and outreach. We partner with sister professional organizations to address the needs of the field and to connect our professional communities.

This year we are electing a new President-Elect, four Directors and one Secretary for our DVIDB Board. The description of roles and responsibilities are below.
